Known issues on the 1994 Navajo. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers certain Firestone Wilderness AT and Radial ATX/ATX II tires, which can separate at the tread when run at low pressure, high speed, or in hot weather, risking loss of vehicle control. The second covers the liftgate: a fractured hydraulic lift cylinder bracket weld can let the bracket bend and the lift cylinder ball stud disengage, allowing the liftgate to fall unexpectedly from an open position. The third covers the brake master cylinder, where the studs securing it to the vacuum booster can develop stress corrosion cracking and fracture, letting the master cylinder separate and reducing brake effectiveness. The fourth covers the parking brake, whose self-adjust pawl can slip over the ratchet teeth and fail to hold the vehicle if it is left out of gear. Owners have filed 74 complaints for the year.
