Certain 1991 Navajo vehicles with the A4LD automatic transmission could roll away because the park pawl might not engage the park gear; the recall covered 33,540 vehicles, and a new pawl was the fix. On certain others sold or registered in certain counties, stress corrosion could crack the master cylinder studs; dealers replaced the brake booster. A front heat shield extension could damage or puncture the plastic fuel tank on certain 1991 Navajo vehicles, a fire risk; the shield was relocated and damaged tanks replaced.
