Known issues on the 1994 100 Quattro. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the fuel feed line connecting the fuel filter to the engine, which was improperly manufactured and can result in fuel leakage. The second covers the ignition switch, which was improperly manufactured and can cause electrical accessories such as turn signals, wipers, lamps, power windows, and air conditioning to malfunction when the car is started. The third covers the fuel injector, whose internal seal can malfunction and allow fuel leakage in the engine compartment, which in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire. DEFECTIVE IGNITION SWITCHES WERE IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED AND CAN CAUSE SOME ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES TO MALFUNCTION.
Consequence
SOME ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES, SUCH AS, TURN SIGNALS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, LAMPS, POWER WIND0WS AND AIR CONDITIONERS CAN MALFUNCTION WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH.
