Known issues on the 1993 300SL. The 1993 R129-chassis models carry one recall on the federal record. It covered certain cars in which a headlamp wiper arm could fall out of alignment and lodge under the lamp, so that working the washers would run the pump dry until it overheated and possibly caught fire; the fix was a replacement pump. The 1993 SL-Class line accounts for four owner complaints, two on the electrical system, one on tires and one on vehicle speed control. The manual covers these systems with procedures, specifications, wiring diagrams and diagnostics.
