This factory service and repair manual for the 1993 Ford F-600 LPO documents the Base trim medium conventional straight truck with three engines: two turbocharged inline-six diesels, the 5.9L of 359 cubic inches and the 6.6L of 401 cubic inches, and the naturally aspirated 7.0L OHV V8 of 429 cubic inches on gasoline. The 5.9L diesel's throttle return springs and linkage appear in the recall record, and the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for that engine's speed control hardware sit alongside the coverage of the other two powerplants and the chassis.

Known issues on the 1993 F-600 LPO. Federal records list three recalls for the 1993 F-600 LPO: accelerator return springs on the 5.9L rotary pump diesel that can fracture and stop the pedal returning to idle, interference between the accelerator lever and the automatic transmission modulator lever that can keep the engine above idle, and wrong-sized clamps on spoke wheels that can bend the studs holding the rim and tire assembly. One owner complaint is logged with NHTSA, filed under vehicle speed control. The manual's throttle and transmission linkage procedures for the 5.9L diesel and its wheel torque values address those systems.
