Known issues on the 1992 LL9000. One recall is on federal record for the 1992 LL9000: labels reminding operators to reopen the fuel tank crossover valves were omitted, and if the tanks were more than half full, pressure could build in one tank until it ruptured and spilled diesel fuel, a fire hazard. A single owner complaint, concerning steering, is also logged with NHTSA. The manual's procedures, specifications and diagnostics for the fuel tanks and crossover valves and for the steering gear and linkage cover both areas.
THE LABELS REMINDING OPERATORS CLOSING THE FUEL TANK CROSSOVER VALVES TO REOPEN THE VALVES BEFORE OPERATING THE ENGINES WERE OMITTED. IF THE TANKS ARE OVER HALF FULL AND VEHICLE OPERATION WAS RESUMED
