1991 Suzuki Samurai Service and Repair Manual

Three trims were listed for the 1991 Samurai: the entry JA, the better-equipped JL, and the JS, a rear-drive version offered only that year. Known issues on the 1991 Samurai. One recall is on federal record: the red plastic front seat-belt buckle release buttons can break and let pieces jam the buckle. Owners have filed three complaints with NHTSA, most often about the service brakes and the seat belts.
