1990 Ford LNT9000 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1990 Ford LNT9000 covers five diesel engines and three body styles in Base trim. The engines are the 10.5L six-cylinder (638 cu in), the 10.3L six-cylinder (629 cu in) and the turbocharged 10.0L (611 cu in), 14.0L (855 cu in) and 14.6L (893 cu in) inline-sixes; the bodies are a short-conventional tractor truck, a low-tilt straight truck and a short-conventional straight truck. The manual's specifications and torque values follow the engine, and its procedures, wiring diagrams and diagnostics follow the chassis and cab, so both need to be identified before work begins.

Known issues on the 1990 LNT9000. The 1990 LNT9000 has one recall on federal record, for secondary service reservoir air check valves in the air brake system that may not seat properly because of mechanical interference between a circular brass guide and the wall of a cylindrical ferrule. NHTSA lists no owner complaints. The manual's air brake procedures, specifications and diagnostics address that check valve and reservoir hardware, and its coverage of the two six-cylinder diesels and three turbocharged sixes handles the engines.
