Known issues on the 1987 DL. The 1987 DL carries two recalls in the federal record. On certain carbureted four-wheel-drive sedans, coupes and wagons, some non-genuine replacement preheat tubes were made of material that could ignite, risking an engine compartment fire; a redesigned tube was installed. On certain cars used where roads are salted heavily in winter, the rear suspension inner arms could corrode and affect control, and dealers rustproofed or replaced them. Owners filed 2 complaints, one on the gasoline fuel system and one on the suspension. The manual gives procedures and specifications for both the fuel system and the suspension.
