On certain cars used where roads are heavily salted in winter, the inner control arms could corrode and upset vehicle operation and control; dealers rustproofed or replaced the arms. A second campaign on certain front-wheel-drive cars addressed the same corrosion across rear suspension components, with rustproofing or replacement as needed.
