Known issues on the 1986 Comanche. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year: a gasoline fuel-delivery fault in the hoses, lines, and fittings; a defect in equipment labeling; a parking-brake fault; a steering-linkage fault; a vehicle speed-control cable fault; and a hydraulic power-brake assist fault that results in loss of power brake assist and an increase in stopping distance. Owners have filed 7 complaints, and no technical service bulletins are on record for the year. This manual carries the factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems.

From a routine service interval to a brake-system repair or a hard-to-trace steering or fuel-line fault, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 1986 Comanche.
