1986 Chevrolet C10 Suburban Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1986 Chevrolet C10 Suburban has two jobs. One is the wagon work a four-door sport utility needs, from doors and glass to the wiring that reaches the back of the body. The other is engine work for three quite different power units: a 5.0L V8 of 305 cubic inches, a 6.2L diesel V8 of 379 and a 5.7L V8 of 350, each overhead-valve and naturally aspirated. Known issues on the 1986 C10 Suburban. Two recalls stand against this year. One arises from rear brake assemblies of an improper size being installed, which can leave a vehicle stopping in more distance than the standard permits; the other from a replacement oil filter that may not seal, releasing engine oil and inviting a fire. Complaints run to eight, five on the fuel system, two on the power train and one on seat belts.
