Known issues on the 1982 C10 Suburban. Three recalls appear on the federal record for this year. One describes a locking screw working loose in the differential so that the pinion shaft can shift, jam the gears or leave the rear wheels without drive. Another describes rear brake drum balance weights contacting the aluminum wheels, loosening the lug nuts until a stud breaks and the wheel and tire can come away. The third covers a replacement oil filter that seals poorly and loses engine oil, with fire the risk named. Four owner complaints exist, one each on tires, the electrical system and the fuel system.
