Known issues on the 1985 L1117. One recall names the 1985 L1117. It affected certain trucks equipped with full air brakes: the steel tube feeding air to the front axle brake chamber could chafe on the front shock absorber, and over time that contact could open a hole and lose air pressure during a stop. The fix was to reroute the tube or replace it. Air brake procedures, specifications and torque values in this manual cover that circuit along with the rest of the braking system.
