Known issues on the 1985 K30. No recall has been issued for the 1985 K30, and no owner complaint has been recorded against it. Judge the manual on coverage instead. It carries engine mechanical procedures and specifications for the six and the three V8s, fuel and ignition diagnostics, diesel injection service, cooling, charging and starting tests, transmission and axle repair, brake hydraulic and adjustment specifications, steering and suspension torque values, and wiring diagrams for the lighting and accessory circuits.
THE WHEEL MAY DEVELOP CRACKS BETWEEN THE DISC AND RIM. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: IF THIS OCCURS AND
Remedy
REPLACE WHEELS HAVING THE SUSPECTED MANUFACTURING CODE NUMBER.
IN SOME 16 X 6 DISC WHEELS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT MAY CAUSE THE WHEELS TO CRACK IN THE DROP CENTER PORTION OF THE RIM. IF THE CRACK WERE TO OCCUR ON A WHEEL WITH A TUBE TYPE TIRE M
Remedy
THE DEALER WILL INSPECT EACH WHEEL AND REPLACE IT IF NECESSARY, WITHOUT CHARGE.
CERTAIN TRUCKS DO NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THE TRUCKS WERE ASSEMBLED WITHOUT THE ROOF MARKER LAMPS.
Remedy
INSTALL ROOF MARKER LAMPS.
