The first covers the transaxle: differential oil is lost over time due to evaporation, and the resulting low oil level causes premature bearing and gear wear that can lead to differential failure, with the drive wheels losing power and, in extreme cases, the front wheels locking and causing rapid deceleration and possible loss of vehicle control. The second covers vehicle speed control: excessive wear of the idle stabilizer can cause idle fluctuations that lead to unsatisfactory driveability. DRAIN AND REPLACE THE DIFFERENTIAL GEAR OIL WITH OIL HAVING HIGHER PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS.
EXCESSIVE WEAR OF IDLE STABILIZER COULD CAUSE IDLE FLUCTUATIONS.
Consequence
IDLE FLUCTUATIONS COULD RESULT IN UNSATISFACTORYDRIVEABILITY.
Remedy
REPLACE IDLE STABILIZER.
