Known issues on the 1982 L1316. A wheel defect and a steering defect make up the two recalls for the 1982 L1316. One campaign, covering certain trucks, found that the side ring in the multi-piece wheel might not match the size of its companion parts; the wheels and spare were checked and the ring or rim replaced as needed. The other applied to certain heavy-duty trucks equipped with hydraulic steering, whose drag link clamp slot might remain open where the ball joint threads in, letting water corrode the link toward breaking.
