Known issues on the 1982 L1013. Two recalls are recorded for the 1982 L1013. The first concerned certain heavy-duty trucks equipped with hydraulic steering: the clamping slot in the steering drag link could stay partly open where the ball joint threads in, letting water inside so that corrosion weakened the link until it could break. Affected links were replaced and a longer ball joint stud closed the gap. The second covered certain trucks whose wheel rim side rings may have been sized wrong for the rest of the rim assembly, prompting inspection of the wheels, spare included.
