On certain 1982 Aries vehicles driven where roads are salted in winter, the front crossmember could rust through at the rear mounts of the lower control arms, letting an arm pull loose and upsetting directional stability; reinforcement brackets were added. On certain 1982 Aries vehicles, clamp bolts could contain cracks and break, freeing the ball joint from the steering knuckle, so both bolts were replaced. On certain cars with automatic speed control, the switch could hang in resume and stop the brake pedal from cancelling the system. Owners lodged 2 complaints.
