Yamaha YG2800i Service and Repair Manual

Three inverter generators sit in one factory book here: the YG2800i and the closely related EF2800i and EF2800iH. Yamaha's part number for it is LIT-19616-CM-13, and the model code on the unit this page is for reads YG2800I.

Inverter machines need a manual that takes the control circuitry seriously, and this one does. The inverter module, stator output, control board and protection circuits are each given test procedures with the voltages and resistances to expect, so a no-output fault can be pinned to a stage rather than replaced at random.

Engine coverage is conventional and complete: valve clearance, carburettor overhaul, ignition, governor and the full torque specification set. Wiring diagrams show the harness as built.
