2025 Yamaha YZF-R1 Service and Repair Manual

The current R1 reference is LIT-11616-38-44. Yamaha built it to span the 2025 and 2026 model years and to take in the YZF-R1 70th Anniversary Edition, which shares its mechanical content with the standard bike.

For 2025 the standard machine is coded YZFR1S1L. Anyone ordering parts or following a torque sequence should confirm that code, because the fitment tables inside are written around it.

Beyond the usual maintenance and teardown material, a modern R1 manual spends real effort on the control systems — sensor checks, fault code interpretation, control unit procedures — and this one does too. The mechanical sections are laid out in the order the work is done, with clearances, wear limits and torque figures quoted from the factory rather than approximated. Wiring diagrams are drawn to be traced circuit by circuit.
