Known issues on the 2023 S580e. Six recalls are filed for the 2023 S580e. On certain cars the front brake hoses could split and leak fluid, lengthening stopping distances, so dealers fitted new hoses. Certain others had stability control software that could fail and take anti-lock braking, traction control, brake force distribution and the speedometer reading down with it. A third affected certain vehicles whose high-voltage battery monitoring software might not warn the driver of a battery fault, putting them out of line with the federal electric-vehicle safety standard.
