Known issues on the 2023 CX-50. Two recalls apply to the 2023 CX-50. The first covered certain 2023 CX-50 vehicles whose anti-lock brake hydraulic control unit could be damaged and reduce braking ability; dealers inspected the unit and replaced it where needed. The second, covering 560 vehicles, concerned certain examples fitted with a Mazda Genuine Accessory trailer hitch, whose wiring harness could detach and be damaged, leaving the trailer's lights or brakes inoperative; dealers repaired the harness. The complaint count stands at 63, with service brakes cited 16 times and forward collision avoidance 14; 9 complaints reported a crash, while 3 reported an injury.
