Known issues on the 2022 Silverado 3500 HD. Three recalls sit on the federal record. Loose bolts in the brake pressure modulator valve assembly can leave the joint unsealed, so water enters, shorts the module and raises a fire risk. A transmission control valve can fail and lock the rear wheels, taking the truck out of the driver's hands. A tailgate release switch can short after water intrusion and let the gate drop open on the road. Complaints number 27, spread across the electrical system at 4 and the power train and engine at 3 each.
