Known issues on the 2022 S3. Seven recalls are on federal record for this model year. A software error can prevent the rear-view camera image from displaying when the vehicle begins to reverse, a separate infotainment fault can leave the rearview display inoperative after the vehicle is restarted, and a third camera fault can leave the rearview image blank or unresponsive when the vehicle is placed in reverse or the park function is manually activated, each reducing rear visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. The rear seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent a child restraint system from securing properly, and the child seat anchorage fitting sleeves are incorrectly marked, risking an improperly secured child seat. The driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners may not retain occupants with adequate force in a crash, and the front passenger air bag may have been folded incorrectly, risking a tear on deployment. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.

Whether you're inspecting the seat belt pretensioners, verifying the rearview camera system, or working through a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2022 S3.
