Known issues on the 2019 E63 AMG S. Seven recalls name the 2019 E63 AMG S; separately, NHTSA filed 2 recalls against the 2019 AMG E63 models. Wagon versions account for several: certain vehicles equipped with the turbocharged eight-cylinder engine whose turbocharger oil feed line could leak, raising a fire risk; certain vehicles fitted with the wrong driver air bag and software; certain vehicles whose front seat belt buckles could stop the pretensioners working; and certain vehicles with a rear spoiler at risk of detaching. On certain vehicles of either body, radar software could impair Active Brake Assist, and a poorly installed starter cable could let wiring chafe and short.
