Known issues on the 2019 IS 300. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both land on the same component: the gasoline fuel pump in the fuel delivery system. In the first, Toyota recalled certain Toyota and Lexus models, the IS among them, because a fuel pump that fails can cause the engine to stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. The second is a separate campaign naming certain further Toyota models and model years for that same fuel pump failure and the same stalling consequence. Owners have filed 13 complaints for the year and Lexus has issued 38 technical service bulletins. The vin to my car does not match with the motor. I find this odd.
