The first covers the tires: a rear axle misalignment after a prior recall repair can cause premature or uneven tire wear, raising crash risk. The second covers the 12-volt battery: an incorrect positive terminal cover fitted at the factory can compromise power in a rear crash, preventing doors from opening from the outside or the hazard lights from working. The third covers the rear suspension: a lock nut on the rear axle trailing arm can break from stress corrosion, misaligning the axle and causing a loss of control. The fourth covers the seats: a faulty cable connection to the Passenger Occupant Detection System can cause the software to misdiagnose a malfunction and disable the passenger air bag.
