In one, a universal joint in the drive shaft on certain cars could break and cut drive power without warning; dealers inspect and replace the shaft. Another concerned certain vehicles with the 4.0L eight-cylinder gasoline engine, where two oil plugs might not hold under heavy load, letting oil escape onto the road or starving the engine until it stalls; a retaining plate now reinforces them. A third involved hands-off detection on certain cars, which could leave Active Steering Assist engaged after the driver let go of the wheel.
