Known issues on the 2018 GLE43 AMG. Seven recalls on the federal record name the 2018 GLE43 AMG. Certain vehicles had rear brake caliper pistons without a proper coating, letting gas enter the rear hydraulic circuit and weaken braking; dealers bled the rear brakes. Certain vehicles fitted with Continental tires were recalled because those tires had been cured too long and could split at the sidewall or shed tread. Owners filed ten complaints about this model year, most often about visibility and the electrical system; two complaints reported a crash, one a fire and two an injury.
