This factory service and repair manual for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C350e covers a plug-in hybrid sedan. Under the hood is a 2.0L inline-four, turbocharged, with dual overhead camshafts and gasoline as its fuel, and the plug-in hybrid system works with it. Known issues on the 2018 C350e. Of the five recalls on the 2018 C350e's federal record, one covers certain rear-wheel-drive cars whose steering rack locknut could snap under heavy load and leave the steering stuck in one position; dealers fitted a new rack. Certain cars with the Audio 20 head unit and automatic child seat recognition could show the passenger air bag as on when it would not deploy, fixed by a software update. The remaining three cover emergency call location software in certain cars and, in two campaigns, certain cars with a panoramic sunroof whose front roof panel may have been badly bonded during an earlier repair. Both owner complaints involve the engine. Steering procedures, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics apply.
