Known issues on the 2017 Maybach S600. Four recalls are on record for the 2017 Maybach S600. In certain sedans a transistor in the power steering control unit could overheat and switch the assist off. Certain others had front seatbelt pretensioners that might not work in a crash, leaving occupants poorly restrained, so dealers replaced the front belts. Certain vehicles could also show the driver-side rear door as locked when it was not, falling short of the federal door-lock standard. Steering, restraint and door lock systems are documented with diagnostics, procedures and wiring diagrams.
