On certain vehicles the vacuum hose feeding the brake booster could collapse, increasing the pedal effort needed to brake; dealers replaced the hose where needed. Certain others had a stability control fault that, with Distronic Plus active, could keep the engine from cutting power even under braking, cured by reprogramming the ESP control unit.
