Known issues on the 2016 ProMaster City. Three recalls name the 2016 ProMaster City. Certain vans fitted with certain Kidde plastic-handle or push-button extinguishers were recalled because the unit could jam or need heavy force, and some nozzles could separate violently. Certain vans carried a tire placard showing incorrect capacity, seating, pressure or spare details, and dealers fitted a corrected label. Certain vans produced within a specified build window had trailer lighting module software that could keep trailer brake lamps off. Of 25 owner complaints, 8 cite the electrical system, 7 the engine, 7 the power train, 2 stability control and 2 exterior lighting.
