2016 Nissan TITAN XD Service and Repair Manual

I BOUGHT TRUCK NEW IN 9/16 AND AIRBAG LIGHT KEPT COMING ON. I TOOK OFF BACK TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY KEPT SAYING IT WAS FIXED. I WOULD LEAVE AND THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. THEY CLAIMED THEY FIXED IT BUT I WAS INVOLVED IN 2 ACCIDENTS AND NEITHER TIME THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. MY WIFE REFUSES TO RIDE IN UNSAFE TRUCK ALSO I DO LYFT DRIVING IN THE MORNINGS AND I'M NOT FEELING SAFE NOW DRIVING OTHER PEOPLE'S AROUND. 2016 NISSAN TITAN. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO HARSH SHIFTING WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS INOPERABLE. THERE WERE EXHAUST FUMES THAT WERE BEING RELEASED INTO THE VEHICLE CAUSING SIGNIFICANT HEALTH ISSUES. *JS *JS

Driving down the interstate at roughly 80mph. Truck started to shake violently almost causing me to loose control of truck and an enclosed trailer. Truck then shut down. No check engine lights or warnings. I coasted to a stop to find small fire in the engine bay. Got it towed to a mechanic, he drained the oil and found the oil pan was full of metal fragments. Suspected crank failure.

Was driving at about 40 mph with cruise control on, when my passenger and I noticed extreme vibrations and noises with. Began slowing to turn into a gas station just ahead when the clunking became so violent the front of the vehicle was bouncing. As I turned into the gas station, there was a loud bang, smoke billowed from the hood, and the engine stalled leaving me with no power steering. OUR 2016 NISSAN TITAN XD WAS IDLING ON A LEVEL CARPORT WITH THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED. NO ONE WAS IN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. I WAS UNLOADING TOOLS FROM THE BACK OF THE TRUCK. AFTER ABOUT 5-7 MINUTES, WHILE I WAS STANDING IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK, THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE TRUCK BEGAN TO ROLL VERY SLOWLY BACKWARDS. IT ROLLED OVER A SMALL CONCRETE BUMP (INTENDED TO PREVENT CARS FROM ROLLING OFF THE CARPORT), DOWN ABOUT A 6 INCH STEP DOWN, ACROSS ANOTHER 10 FEET OR SO OF CONCRETE AND INTO THE BRICK WALL AT THE BACK OF THE CARPORT. A LOW SPEED ACCIDENT OCCURRED. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG EXPLODED RATHER THAN INFLATE, LEAVING ME WITH NO PROTECTION. THE GAS AND PARTICULATE FILLED THE CABIN INSTANTLY LEAVING ME WITH NO VISION IN OR OUTSIDE THE TRUCK UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR. THE SMELL WAS SIMILAR TO BURNT GUNPOWDER. A DEBRIS SCORCHED A HOLE IN FRONT OF MY SHIRT. THE PASSENGER BAG ONLY PARTIALLY INFLATED. SPEED 30MPH. DIRECT HEAD ON COLLISION TO SIDE OF OTHER VEHICLE. I HAVE PICTURE BUT CANNOT UPLOAD RIGHT NOW. THIS AIRBAG SYSTEM IS DANGEROUS AND DEFECTIVE.
