Known issues on the 2016 S63L AMG. NHTSA lists four recalls for the 2016 S63L AMG. Certain 4MATIC versions built between May 14, 2013 and September 18, 2015 had an engine control software error that could stall the engine as the car rolled to a stop; unlike an ECO start pause, it would not restart when the brake was released, leaving the car stranded. Certain vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof may also have had the front roof panel bonded poorly during a previous repair, so it could separate from the car.
