Known issues on the 2016 GLE300d. Seven recalls name the 2016 GLE300d in NHTSA's data. On certain vehicles, water pooling in the spare tire well could damage the fuel pump control unit and stall the engine on the road; dealers fit a drain plug and replace the unit as needed. Certain others had a poorly sealed power steering connector that could admit water and shut off steering assist. Certain vehicles built April 23, 2014 through May 10, 2016 could misread the front passenger as a child seat and deactivate that air bag.
