Known issues on the 2016 G63 AMG. Four recalls apply to this year. With Distronic Plus active, a fault in the stability program on certain vehicles could stop the engine from cutting power even under braking, so dealers reprogram the control unit. On certain vehicles the cable linking the inner door handle to the latch could snap when a door is hard to open, as after a crash, and is replaced on all four doors. Certain vehicles are also covered for an under-tightened steering coupling that can wear. Both complaints logged concern air bags. Door latch and stability control diagnostics are included.
