Known issues on the 2015 XV Crosstrek. NHTSA lists 2 recalls for the 2015 XV Crosstrek, and both trace back to the brake light switch. In one, contaminants could cause the switch to fail on certain vehicles, leaving the brake lights unlit and possibly preventing keyless starting or shifting a CVT out of Park. The other applied to certain vehicles built during a specific production window with the EyeSight driver assist system: a failed switch would disable automatic pre-collision braking, and dealers reprogrammed the system.
