Known issues on the 2015 ML250. NHTSA lists six recalls for the 2015 ML250. In certain vehicles, water could pool in the spare tire well and ruin the fuel pump control unit, stalling the engine on the road; dealers add a drain plug and replace the unit where needed. Certain examples built September 29, 2014 through March 27, 2015 may have had drive axle carrier bolts assembled wrongly, so the rest could snap and unsettle handling. Certain vehicles built April 27 through May 19, 2015 may carry a poorly fitted right rear seatbelt anchor bolt. Owners filed 10 complaints, four about the engine; two reported a crash and two reported an injury.
