Known issues on the 2014 SL63 AMG. Three recalls name the 2014 SL63 AMG. An assembly mistake on certain cars made during a short build window could stop the front passenger air bag from deploying correctly, and dealers replace it. Certain cars from a longer production span have power steering control units with poorly soldered pins that may lose contact, taking away steering assist and raising a fire risk even while parked; that unit is replaced too.
