Known issues on the 2014 ML550. Three recalls on the federal record cover certain 2014 ML550 vehicles. The Active Curve System recall reached certain ML550 4Matic vehicles equipped with that system: if the reservoir ran low, its oil could froth and seep from the cap vents, a fire risk, and dealers topped it up and fitted a new cap. Another concerns certain vehicles where water in the spare tire well could damage the fuel pump control unit and stall the engine. The third involved certain vehicles whose emergency call software could report the wrong location. Owners filed three complaints, one each for the engine, exterior lighting and electrical system.
