Known issues on the 2014 335i. Five recalls are on the federal record. Poor nickel plating inside the fuel pump can let the pump fail and stall the car without warning. Head air bag inflators can split at a weld joint, either leaking gas so the bag only partly inflates or rupturing and throwing metal. A driver's inflator can likewise explode on deployment. Another recall covers software that leaves the front side marker lights dark at night. Owners have logged 20 complaints, led by three each on the electrical system and the power train.
