Known issues on the 2013 E400. Two recalls cover the 2013 E400. The first involves certain vehicles in which a software error put the emergency call system's clock out of step with the real date and time, which could send responders to a wrong location; an over-the-air or dealer software update corrects it. The second concerns certain E400 Hybrid sedans with a rubber seal at the rear of the engine compartment that could cling to the raised hood, then drop onto hot exhaust parts and create a fire risk; dealers add retaining clips.
