This factory service and repair manual for the 2013 Chevrolet Express 4500 divides mostly along fuel lines. A turbocharged 6.6L diesel V8 of 403 cubic inches brings injection, glow and aftertreatment procedures of its own; a 6.0L V8 of 364, set for compressed natural gas or flex-fuel, brings a different set again. Both sit in the same two-door cutaway chassis, sold in Base trim, so from the transmission back the coverage is common ground for either engine.

Known issues on the 2013 Express 4500. This chassis reaches the federal record with nothing on it, no recalls and no owner complaints. The manual is therefore read for procedure: engine overhaul with the clearances and torque sequences for both units, fuel system work particular to diesel, natural gas and ethanol blends, automatic transmission diagnosis and rebuild, propeller shaft and rear axle service, front suspension and steering alignment figures, brake hydraulic and antilock work, and the cab wiring diagrams underlying all of it.
