Known issues on the 2013 Encore. The 2013 Encore has 6 recalls on the federal record. On certain 2013 Encore vehicles from a set build window equipped with a heated steering wheel, 144 vehicles, the wheel fastener may not have been secured, so the wheel could come loose from the column. Certain 2013 Encore vehicles from another window had front lap belt pretensioner cables that might not hold retracted, and certain 2013 Encore vehicles from a third window had a poorly welded passenger air bag inflator that might not deploy.
