Known issues on the 2012 650i. Two recalls apply to this year. One concerns a circuit board that can overheat in service, raising the risk of a fire. The other covers in-tank fuel pumps whose wires were insufficiently crimped: the loose connection can melt the connector and leak fuel, and the pump can stop working altogether, stalling the engine in traffic. Owners have logged twenty-two complaints, nine of them on the engine, with two each on the seat belts and the air bags.
