Known issues on the 2011 S400. The federal record holds two recalls for the 2011 S400. In certain vehicles built within a limited 2011 production window, a molding flaw left the fuel filter flange prone to cracking in high heat, which could leak fuel and start a fire near an ignition source; dealers replaced the filter. Certain S400 Hybrid vehicles from a similar window had a tire pressure warning that did not stay lit long enough or return after a restart, so the warning for a full set of failed or missing sensors might not repeat on later starts; dealers reprogrammed the module. Five complaints name this car, involving the electrical system, engine and suspension. The fuel and tire pressure monitoring systems both have procedures, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostic steps in the manual.
