2008 Yamaha RS VECTOR Service and Repair Manual

Yamaha issued LIT-12618-RS-02 as the service manual for the RS Vector, and it covers both the 2008 and 2009 model years in one volume. The 2008 machine carries model code RS90GTAXW.

That code is the practical fitment check. Vector chassis codes changed year to year even where the sled looked much the same, so reading the code off the tunnel decal settles the question faster than comparing photographs.

The manual is the dealer service document: periodic maintenance tables, engine removal and overhaul, fuel-system and ignition procedures, clutch and drive-belt specifications, track and rear-suspension setup, steering and brake service, torque values throughout, and wiring diagrams with the connector locations needed to trace a circuit properly. Because the two model years were written up together, a specification that applies to only one of them is printed with the model code it belongs to, which keeps the combined coverage unambiguous once you know your own code.
