Known issues on the 2007 G5. NHTSA has logged 5 recalls against the 2007 G5. On certain 2007 G5 vehicles, a heavy key ring or a jolt from the road could turn the ignition switch out of run, shutting off the engine and possibly keeping the air bags from deploying; the switch was replaced. Certain others could let the key come out while the ignition was not off, so the car could roll away. Certain 2007 G5 cars with electric power steering could lose steering assist suddenly, and the assist motor was replaced. Owners filed 188 complaints, 59 under steering; 16 complaints reported a crash, 6 an injury and 1 a death. Steering, ignition and air bag procedures apply.
